Harships and Changes to the Mission
One problem was that more neophytes were dying at the mission.  In 1884 the mission had fallen into ruin and needed to be rebuilt. They also added a church. They didn't have alot of visitors because it's location was moved. They grew  alot of wheat and flowers. They also grew corn and grapes for making wine. The Salimam Indians lived in the mission. They lived in it for a long time that they got used to it.
