My mission is located 15 miles north C.A Mexico border, on a hill over
looking mission valley, about 8 miles from the
Pacific Ocean . It was built because the prhists wanted
to spread chtholicism and support Spains

as an active parish church and cultural center. All people are welcome
to visit. The reason the mission system was that Mexico warred Spain
for independence. The war lasted from 1810 through 1821. The Mexicans
believed that the missions were no longer needed and the Native
Americans should be let go. The left-over land was given to
the government of Mexico.
